How to measure a child's foot

You only need a sheet of paper, a pencil, and a ruler.

1. Place the sheet of paper on the floor against a wall
The child should stand on it with their heel against the wall.

2. Measure with the child standing up
The foot should be fully supported, with toes stretched out and weight distributed naturally.

3. Mark the longest toe
Make a small mark exactly where it ends. It is not always the big toe.

4. Measure both feet
Calculate the distance from the edge of the paper to the mark and use the measurement of the longest foot as a reference.

5. Add 0.5 - 1 cm to the foot measurement
This is the extra space the foot needs inside the shoe.
